On November 2, 2022, Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), welcomed Ms. Jaruwan Pongjaruwat, Director of Education at Education New Zealand (ENZ), New Zealand Embassy, Thailand. The delegation also included executives from the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), New Zealand: Mr. Girish Nair (International Director) and Mr. Tony O’Brien (International Business Development Manager). The meeting was held at the Rapeephat Meeting Room, RMUTP Thewet Campus.

The discussion aimed to strengthen the long-standing educational partnership between RMUTP and New Zealand institutions. Past collaborations include English training for lecturers, culinary arts programs, and joint short-term courses in Cyber Security.

A key highlight was the introduction of Te Pūkenga (New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology), a unified national network of over 20 vocational and technology institutes. This organization will serve as a central hub to foster more diverse collaborations with RMUTP, providing Thai students and faculty members with broader opportunities to enhance their professional skills on an international level.

Additionally, Education New Zealand extended an invitation to the “New Zealand Education Fair 2022,” held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Samyan Mitrtown Hall 2. The fair featured representatives from over 50 institutions, scholarship opportunities, and simulated classroom experiences led by New Zealand teachers.
