On February 4, 2023, Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), participated in the virtual Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony for a New Zealand Hybrid Bachelor’s Degree program with the University of Otago, New Zealand. The ceremony involved the presidents of all nine Rajamangala Universities of Technology (RMUT). Additionally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rattanavalee Maisak, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, attended the onsite ceremony at the Thai-New Zealand Centre (TNZC), RMUT Thanyaburi.

Dr. Natworapol stated that this collaboration is a follow-up to the study visit conducted by the Business Administration faculties of the nine RMUTs to New Zealand educational institutions in November 2022. The University of Otago is New Zealand’s oldest university and is globally ranked. Recognizing the potential, the New Zealand Embassy in Thailand facilitated the expansion of this partnership to all nine RMUTs to benefit faculty and students. RMUTP will serve as an educational hub, expanding opportunities for Thai students to pursue further studies in New Zealand.

On this occasion, the New Zealand Embassy also invited the presidents of all nine RMUTs to visit the University of Otago in New Zealand this coming May.
