Boundless Friendship: RMUTP Faculty of Liberal Arts Awards Certificates to Chinese Students, Strengthening International Educational Cooperation
On May 13, 2025, Dr. Natworapol Rachsiriwatcharabul, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP), presided over a certificate presentation ceremony for Chinese students participating in the collaborative project with Nanning Vocational and Technical College. The students completed the Applied Thai Language for Careers and Communication Innovation Program for the 2024 academic year.
A total of 10 Chinese students from the Faculty of Liberal Arts met the academic criteria for credit transfer, enabling them to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree. On this occasion, the “Phrabarami Sadet Pho” Scholarship (in honor of Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse, Prince of Chumphon) was also awarded to two Chinese students with outstanding academic performance.
The Applied Thai Language Program, Faculty of Liberal Arts, has consistently provided education for students under this project since 2008. Currently in its 18th cohort, the program aims to empower Chinese students to effectively use the Thai language in daily communication. It focuses on mastering listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with a practical emphasis on applying these skills to technology and Thai-language documentation. The goal is to enable students to utilize their Thai language proficiency as a foundation for their future careers. Furthermore, the program serves to preserve and promote Thai language—a national cultural heritage—to achieve widespread international recognition.
